A glitzy award ceremony celebrated individuals, businesses and organisations that have proved themselves to be valuable to our city's success.
Glasgow is home to a vibrant community of fantastic events, food, drink and culture with new venues bursting on the scene on a regular basis.
There have also been times of hardship where Glaswegians have shown pulled together to show a unity, compassion and strength which has been praised across the globe.
And now those who deserve recognition the most have been given their chance to shine at a awards which aims to showcase the best of the city.
The Crowne Plaza hotel played host to the inaugural Glasgow Awards on April 13.
Over 200 attendees representing a host of businesses gathered at the black tie ceremony, hosted by radio personality Gina McKie.
Winning eateries on the night included La Vita Spuntini, Akbar’s, Lychee Oriental, Café Zecchino and Guy’s Restaurant and Bar.
Prizes also went to venues such as The Real McCoy, Kushion, Oran Mor and the CCA.
Guy's Restaurant owner Guy Cowan said: "I was really surprised by the win as there are lots of great new places opening in Glasgow.
"It's good to know that I'm still a favourite among the city's booming restaurant scene.
"It was also nice to have the community come together and see some familiar faces go away with well deserved awards."
Event organisers Creative Oceanic said that the awards helped highlight the depth of talent within the city.
The group's chief executive Irfan Younis said: "The Glasgow Awards were a testament of depth and talent of the people from this city.
"The event was a huge success and we would like to thank all of the attendees as well as the public who took time out to vote.”
