A troupe of mysterious drummers will set Paisley town centre alight with the highly-anticipated return of Halloween Festival.
The creepy two-day event organised by Renfrewshire Council kicks off with a lantern-lit fancy dress parade down High Street from Paisley Museum to Abbey Close.
LED drum group Spark!, part of a magical street theatre movement, will lead around 100 revellers along the route alongside a giant Loch Ness Monster.
Running from October 30 - 31, the free weekend event features a series of events themed on 'light and dark.'
After the inaugural festival in 2014, Paisley Abbey will once again become home to a spectacular fire garden, with giant lillies and flowerboxes breathing flames against the night sky.

The festival will also incorporate a variety of street theatre including fire jugglers, some scary story-telling in Paisley Abbey and Halloween-themed craft workshops.
Visitors can also take part in balloon modelling, face painting, pumpkin carving and attend a Harry Potter owl show in Paisley Town Hall.
The event is part of Paisley's bid to win City of Culture in 2021 and kicks off an eclectic winter programme.
The following week X Factor star Ben Haenow will grace the town centre for the annual Christmas lights switch on.
Council Leader Mark Macmillan said: "Our Halloween Festival is bigger and better this year with a packed two-day programme themed on the visual display of light and dark.
"It was great to see so many people get behind our first-ever Halloween festival last year. The event is now part of our hugely-successful town centre events programme that bring tens of thousands of people into the town each November for the fireworks and Christmas lights switch-on events.
"As the town’s bid for UK City of Culture gathers momentum, we hope to hold more spectacular events like the Halloween Festival.
"With so much to see and do over the weekend, Halloween is definitely a not-to-be-missed event for kids and adults alike."
Paisley Halloween Festival runs on on Friday from 6pm to 9pm and Saturday from 12pm to 9pm.
