  1. Roads remain closed after high winds cause property damage

    Several roads in Glasgow city centre remain closed this morning after part of the roof from Marks Hotel on Bath Street was damaged yesterday due to high winds.

    Road closures: Hope St between West Regent St & Sauchiehall St & Bath St between Renfield St and West Campbell St.

  2. Road closures cause changes to bus routes

    Passengers travelling from Glasgow to Ayrshire using the Stagecoach bus service are advised that due to road closures in the city centre buses will not be stopping on Wellington Street.

    All passenger travelling from Glasgow to Ayrshire, please go to either Buchanan Bus Station or Waterloo Street, We cant access Wellington St

    A problem with a level crossing at Gailes is going to be causing problems for a while on the Glasgow to Ayr line.

  5. Weather causing disruption to train services

    ScotRail has urged passengers travelling between Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh to travel via Aberdeen as direct routes are likely to be delayed or cancelled.

    Services from #Glasgow #Edinburgh to #Inverness may be delayed/cancelled. No alternative road transport due to poor conditions on A9. ^G

  6. Trains cancelled as high winds return

    Due to weather warnings issued by the Met Office, ScotRail have cancelled some services across the west coast of Scotland.

    Trains will be cancelled from 6pm this evening until 6pm on Thursday on the following services:

    • Helensburgh - Dumbarton Central
    • Kilwinning - Largs / Ardrossan
    • Kyle - Dingwall
    • Glasgow - Fort William / Mallaig / Oban

    Signalling issues are causing delays between Glasgow Central and Partick. Other trains on this line are likely to be affected as well.

  9. Glasgow to Mallaig trains cancelled until tomorrow night

    High winds have resulted in a distinct amount of disruption for trains today and tomorrow looks no different. the Glasgow to mallaig trains have been cancelled until the afternoon and Helensburgh Trains to Dunbarton will also be disrupted.

    ScotRail have cancelled trains across Scotland this morning due to safety concerns. Tickets for ScotRail services are being accepted on First Glasgow Buses and the Glasgow Subway.

  15. National Rail issue information on disruption to services this weekend

    With strong winds forecast for later this evening due to last until Saturday, National Rail have issued information on services that are expected to be disrupted by the bad weather.

    Services from Glasgow Queen Street to Fort William are already cancelled with services from Glasgow Central to Largs also experiencing disruption.
